Kiran Randhawa
Kiran Randhawa has been a proud resident of Chestermere for the past 17 years. She is a dedicated wife, mother to an 8-year-old daughter, and currently serves as a City Council. During her time on council, she also served and succefully completed her term as deputy Mayor.
Alongside her role on Council, Kiran is a successful entrepreneur who runs multiple businesses and brings extensive experience in business management.
Her passion for community service is evident through her years of volunteer work across the city. She has served on the Police Communications Committee, Seniors Advisory Committee, and the Older Adults Coalition of Chestermere (OACC). Kiran is also an active member of the Chestermere Library Board, 100 Women Who Care Chestermere, the Chestermere Interagency Program, and the Mayor’s Task Force for Non-Profits. She regularly participates in Prairie Waters Elementary School’s civic education sessions and assists with student tours at City Hall. Additionally, she volunteers with the Rocky View Chestermere Agricultural Society’s Bull on the Beach event.
Kiran’s dedication has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 2024 Stars of Alberta Volunteer Award, the 24th Harry Sohal Memorial Award, and four Appreciation Awards from various organizations. Through these experiences, she has developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs of Chestermere residents and is committed to building an inclusive, safe, and thriving community for all.
